The Advanced Compensating
Shock Absorbing System (A.C.S.A.S.) is the
next step in the evolution of Shock absorption technology
for crash helmets, footwear, and related protective padding.
The A.C.S.A.S.
system is a miniature hydraulic, pneumatic shock absorber
viable across broad product lines and markets. The system,
quite simply, mimics the shock absorbing properties of the
human body and compounds that ability by a factor of 20.
Advances in Sports medicine and technology have allowed
today’s athlete to become stronger, faster, and weigh
more than at any other time in history, therefore such advances
demand that protective equipment also evolve to compensate.
Expanded Polystyrene (Styrofoam), expanded foam, and air
bladders have now become obsolete and are no longer able
to sufficiently protect today’s superior athlete.
This fact is evident by the ever increasing number of concussions
and sports related injuries suffered every year.
Though viable across a wide spectrum of protective padding,
A.C.S.A.S.’
primary focus is on the protection of the human cranium
and the prevention of concussions and other head related
trauma directly related to sports, leisure, and military
related activities. The ingenious design of the A.C.S.A.S.
system allows the forces of an impact to be transferred
to the A.C.S.A.S.
system instead of the cranium or protected body part, and
then that same impact force is used to reset the system
to absorb another impact. The system is also fully adjustable
in regards to the weight of the user, temperature of the
surrounding environment, and differences in atmospheric
pressure.
