Ironman debuts the Ironman ILS (Integrated Lighting System) helmet on NBC during the IronMan World Championship in Kona Hawaii.
The ILS helmet was invented and designed by Kerry Harris, president and Managing Director, for ultra-high visibility for bicyclists when riding in low light conditions. The helmet features an integrated rechargeable lithium ion power system, and wide angle LEDs built into the front and the back of the helmet offering an unparalleled level of safety and utility never before seen in the industry.

Ironman, which is owned by the World Triathalon Corporation, is world renowned and recognized for athletic excellence, performance, and quality products. Ironman has been a respected name in triathlon since its inception 28 years ago and is regarded as the world’s most challenging endurance event which includes biking, swimming, and running. Hurricane welding helmets feature an integrated, rechargeable power system developed by A.C.S.A.S. Technology that powers fans and an ultra bright LED built into the helmet. The fans not only help keep the wearer cool, but also help prevent fumes and smoke from accumulating inside of the helmet. Bell's Vortex Turbo Air System Unveiled
Bell Racing unveils their new Vortex Turbo Air System at the Performance Racing Industry(PRI) trade show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando Florida. Bell Racing is the premier manufacturer for Auto racing helmets and has enjoyed that distinction for over 50 years. The PRI trade show is the premier trade show for racing parts, supplies, and the latest innovations in the industry.

The new Vortex Turbo Air System features the integrated power system for helmets developed by A.C.S.A.S. technology corporation for use as an electrical platform to power any number of electronics and support devices. Bell Racing uses the system to power fans located in the chinbar that circulate cool fresh air within the helmet helping to keep the driver cool and refreshed.

The system has already been approved by SNELL and is also being utilized in motorcycle helmets by AFX in their new FX-11 lightforce helmets as well as Law Enforcement, and bicycle helmets.
